Carillons

Carillons

As the only bell-making workshop in Slovakia, we cast bells intended for carillons. The carillon is a musical instrument originating from the Benelux countries. It consists of a set of precisely-tuned bells, which can be in the range of up to several octaves.

The playing of melodies on the carillon may be achieved by:

1.) the installation of electromagnetic hammers connected to a central control unit. This unit can store more than 100 different tunes. The individual melodies are initiated by clock, and so it is possible to program and create a daily, or weekly, program.

By connecting an electronic keyboard, the player can play the bells "LIVE".

2.) the use of a manual keyboard, which is connected to the clappers of individual bells via ropes and pulleys.
